Tommy Rennick Guitar School was established in Wexford in 2008. Since it’s inception the school has developed and grown in popularity owing in part to past and present pupils experiences and recommendations. The school prides itself on giving courses for both the enthusiastic and serious guitar player, with the option of sitting accredited exams and those who want to just play for pleasure.

Our main tutor, Tommy Rennick has played guitar for over forty years, in various successful bands in both Ireland and England.  During that time he has studied and played many different styles of music, from Punk to Soul, from Folk to Rock, from Blues to Jazz. 

Tommy also teaches Music Theory and Music Notation for guitar, Leaving Cert and Junior Cert music as an extra subject or grinds, and Music Technology for LC. 
A testament to Tommy’s commitment and experience -  one of his students, having taken guitar/music up, for the first time in 5th year, outside of school, recently passed their audition at WIT, Waterford and has been accepted to study for a masters degree in Jazz and Modern Music.

Tommy is registered with RGT Guitar tutors, has a level 6 FETAC award in teaching and has a Distinction in Music Theory awarded by the London College of Music. So whether you want to study music, and take grades in Guitar or whether you just want to learn to play a few tunes, whether you are a total beginner or you have been playing for years and want to improve your skills he is happy to pass on his knowledge and experience.
